Green from the inside out, what makes Flexterra work so well is its combination of 100% recycled and phyto-Sanitized wood fires with 100% biodegradable interlocking fibres. Revolutionary Micro-Pore particles enhance water and nutrient retention while increasing wet bond strength and the resistance to sheet flow. Vegetative establishment is further enhanced by 100% non-toxic biopolymers and water absorbents. Immediately bonding to the soils surface, Flexterra HP-FGMs flexible, yet stable matrix works to eliminate weeds and pathogens, control erosion effectiveness, establish growth and functional longevity.
Flexterra’s high-performance matrix works through a combination of its optimized water/nutrient retention and enhanced growth environment. The matrix creates air space that not only captures an increased amount of moisture to improve seed germination, it improves the oxygen that is necessary for healthy development of vegetation. Flexterra has demonstrated successful erosion control performance on slopes that are as severe as 0.25H:1V. Proven to be greater than 99% upon curing, its matrix yields increased sheet flow resistance and reduced runoff.
Flexterra provides a cost-effective and safe alternative to conventional erosion control blankets that are prone to bridging and voiding. Rough seed beds demonstrate lower erosion potential which undulations retain seed and moisture for growth. Flexterra means that fine grading and extensive soil preparation such as topsoil and raking are unnecessary to achieve success, allowing the product to be applied through a hydroseeder during hydromulching applications for immediate protection and performance.
